Hey guys,

My car was running just fine before, but now is idling at 4,500rpm. I unhooked the cable throttle entirely to make sure it wasn't stuck. Any idea what could make it do this? The throttle plate movement seems to be normal to me. Looking for help troubleshooting!

Thanks guys

Did you take off your intercooler and check if the throttle valve is stuck open?

MAF, idle air control valve? Mine ran a bit over 3K on my first start and it turned out that I forgot to plug in the MAF sensor.

Mine was idleing really fast too. I had a bad tps sensor and map sensor. They both crapped out on me, out of no where and both at the same time.

sounds like air is getting in somewhere.

clean your IAC valve with gasoline until it stays clear and change the gasket.

check for intake leak/cracks

see if unplugging the MAF sensor changes anything.
