Here's a fun one. When I attempted to straiten out the mount point on the donor hand brake I heard small popping noises. I though it was just moving around in my vise but turns out it was fracturing the metal. Has anyone scrapped the donor and used a different part for a better looking solution?

Anyone used the mazda miata hand brake. Its cheap and looks like it would be easy to recess.

With the stock tank be careful with recessing. The cables will have less room to bend

Just weld it and call it good :) :)

I also plan to go electric with my parking brake. Did you purchase a commercially built electric parking brake kit? I'm looking at 12V linear actuator and wiring it myself.

I am using the same kit as Mike Everson. E-Stopp kit. Check it out on my build thread. Should be one of the last posts.

If I remember correct I have a spare one. I will have to check when I get home from work. I would be happy to sell it to you if you decide to go this route.
