I've searched a bit but haven't found anyone else's method for putting tow hooks on the 818.
I would assume it's a requirement at least for 818R's to have them to run on the track.
Could someone who has installed hooks post their solution?

I have had the same question for the front, being an open car the roll bar can be used for flat tow. I think the rear has a few options, my plan right now is to put the tow hook on the frame structure that is out the back for trans mount. My wing mounts will also tie in back there which has been the common practice on the R.

I attached a large tow hook to the front of the frame where the radiator support attached to the frame. The radiator support sits higher than the frame and allows access to the tow hook. I tow hook I got was bigger than I thought (I tend to have this problem when I buy things off the internet) but work out well since you can't see it and is large enough to get an axle strap through it. I was worried about how to secure the car in the trailer because there is no place for and strap once all the front metal installed. I purchases two 36" axle straps that I can loop through the hook and then ratcheted down to secure the car. For the rear I am going to do a screw in tow hook through the rear of the frame where the trans mount it. I will probably offset it to the drivers side and should be pretty easy to do.

I'll bring this back, I would like to see some examples of front tow hooks, especially for the 818S. I would not be able to use the roll bar once the windshield is in. I'm nearly finished with my 818 and worry about getting it on the trailer if the unforeseen happens.
