Hi Guys, I am getting the turbo waste gate solenoid and the External waste gate set up. My donor was modified with a electronic boost controller but it was not connected. The solenoid was plugged into the factory harness. I read some where the set up is a combination of the solenoid and a spring in the waste gate. Each working together to get the combined boost pressure. In case one fails the other will only let the boost max to its limit not over boost.
What is the safest method?
My total boost will be 20PSI MAX.

Thanks Guys for all your knowledge!!

I'm running a Blouche TD05H-18G-XT with a Tial 38 mm Sport EWG. The solenoid on the left was hooked up and running in the donor with a stock td04 turbo. The controller was under the dash and the stock solenoid was mounted but not hooked up. The car ran really well and the wastegate was working.
I'm trying to figure out all the items needed to tune it. And the hose routings for the vacuum lines.41712

the link I posted shows the factory hose routing... if you plan on getting a tune there is little need for the EBC...

imho, sell everything in that picture, and pick up a good Subaru specific 3port BCS, like the cobb and get the larger hose kit.

Go to this, http://www.tialsport.com/index.php/tech-wastegates Select your Wastegate and see which springs you need. I had to change the spring in my old setup, not difficult at all. You can even find them on eBay pretty cheap. If you go eBay, don't buy used springs if they're on there, new only.

dont know if im to late but usually you want your wastgate spring to be at least half your total boost so i would recommend about a 12 pound spring the bcs you have ictured is actually a elctronic boost controller basically that box will control boost turn one way to go up and the other to go down with that the factory ebcs is obsolete and not needed
