My shock tower brace mounting holes are not aligned very well, any ideas on fixing this?

The build tips thread has a suggestion by grayghost (see entry #51 http://thefactoryfiveforum.com/showthread.php?11115-818-assembly-tips-add-yours/page2). I think it's a problem we all have. Here's his advice:
"When the shock tower cross bar won't fit, there is a quick fix. First your engine must be installed with the transmission. According to the Factory the chassis needs the weight to help the fit. Next line up as many of the bolts as possible, I got 3 of them with the upper right out by a few mm. I tried a clamp to no avail, So I called my good friend Tom Kaufman ( The Fab Man ), and he took a 4-5 ft piece of 2X4 and placed it between the transmission and the cross bar and lifted up. this flexed the bar enough to put the last bolt in."

That joint was together when both my cars shipped. No issue on alignment for me.
From what I can see in your picture.
Can you pull the 2 shock towers together with a heavy ratchet strap and the install the brace.
If not, I would tell FFR to send me a new brace that is 1/4" extra long.

I've had mine off, and on many times. The ratchet strap as Bob suggested is the best way to go in my opinion.

Ok, I'll give the ratchet strap a try. I wasn't sure if bending the frame was the way to go.
