Mass Air Flow Sensor Orientation

Hi guys, I am routing my air intake from the turbo under the intake and up into the right hump. I can do this easily with some aluminum tube and up through a 90 to the air filter. Now the original MAF was mounted horizontally in a Blitz tube. Can I just flip this vertically up in the hump?
I did some research and came up with it not being a problem as long as it was tuned after reorienting.

I run mine after the intercooler, just before the throttle body. As long as you have enough straight pipe before it, and have the MAF totaly rescaled, you should be fine.
