There is a hole pictured above the is on the block, right next to the block/trans junction. Right below turbo outlet (stock location). I don't have anything there, which leaves an opening to trans available.

Is there supposed to be something there or just left open as when I purchased the donor?

That is an access hole to the to torque converter bolts on an automatic transmission. I believe I have a rubber plug in there.
