Coolant line routing

I'm wondering if you're supposed to run the coolant lines inside the chassis or outside on the rear end of the car where you make the turn forward? Outside seems like the right answer but I don't want to have to re-run the lines during body fitment because it won't fit over the corrugated lines.

There is tons of room under the bodywork back by the rear firewall. The fiberglass is about five inches out from the frame and is open from the bottom of the frame up to the engine cover.
