Has anyone come up with any kind of rubber boot/seal solution for the shift selector lever as it exits the rear of the transmission? Seems really, really odd to just have a big gap going right inside of the transmission allowing dirt and moisture to get in there and mix with the transmission oil.

Not needed. There's a seal that presses into the tail stock of the housing that seals the shaft. The seal is not on the part that gets removed so even with FFR's block off plate it's still there.

Oh yeah.... I know that seal is there but forgot the case housing actually surrounds it completely and prevents anything from getting into the area where the center diff used to be. Thanks!
