I see there are plenty of build threads as well as graduations with the kit # given.
Where exactly are these numbers coming from?
I have looked at my invoice and see no such "kit number".
I am assuming they are an in house number used to track the kits they go through production.
Are those posting numbers asking FFR for them?
Not that it it really matters, i am just curious.

Hi Vince,
Welcome to the forum. Your kit number is on your "Certificate of Origin" as far as the paper work. On my MkIII roadster the same number is above your left knee when you are seated in the drivers seat on a 2x2 rectangular tube etched in the metal. I had my Arizona registration plate placed right next to that. There's supposed to be another place (I think) on the left round frame tube but I never checked there. I consider it important as it is your lineage in the production of FFR roadsters. You know like CSX, CCX, etc........
Good luck on your project,
WEK.

The number on the 2x2 tube is the VIN/ID given to it by Factory Five. In Florida that becomes your permanent VIN and appears on the registration. When people say "Please graduate #xxxx" those are the last four digits of the VIN.

I have not gotten my car shipped yet, however others have posted the numbers before their cars have been received.
I do know my eyes are bad and getting worse, but i do not see any such number on my "certificate of origin".
I can only guess that the copy i have is a generic one that is sent out in advance so i can get the process started with Transport Canada to get my "Approval to Import" Letter.

I got my MCO several weeks after the kit. The number is longer than the 4 digits everyone gives. It starts with "FFR" , then I think 7 digits the last four are "your number", then RD for roadster.
Like FFR0007694RD

I am one that posted a number before my Kit arrived. I got on a plane and flew 2500 miles just to get the number Lol FFR stamps them when they assign the frame to your order. Avalanche is correct in the full Vin. I believe it's also the consecutive sequence of the number of roadsters manufactured. The wait after the order is a killer.
I'm 4 weeks into my build and very much enjoying it. I have met some great people along the way so far congratulations on your purchase Vince

Unless they've changed recently the MCO (that does become the VIN in Texas also) starts with F5R100 not FFR000. Mine is F5R1006720RD.

I completely understand ! I can't help but think i am missing important paperwork or something.
My dealings with Transport Canada did not go well at first. Very worrysome !
Al at Western Canada Cobra's was a huge help, he kept that blood vessel in my head from bursting, and got it sorted out.
Until i have it in my hands though i will continue to worry.

On my Paper work "CHASSIS NUMBER____F5R100__________RD_________"
All blank.

You said it is sorted out? If not, can't FFR help with an advance copy of the MCO?

According to FFR i don't require the MCO numbers to import.
To many things on order at once, too much to think about.
