I got a Tactrix cable, and I deleted the codes for the fuel temp sensor, fuel pressure sensor, and the vent solenoid with ECUFlash and ROMRaider. The only one that won't go away is P0183 FUEL TEMP SENSOR A HIGH INPUT.

Any ideas?

Did you make the change in ECUflash or Romraider? I didn't bother with Romraider I made all the changes in ECUflash only and had no issues. I was only going to use Romraider to calibrate the MAS and some other tuning. You may be losing something in the transfer also make sure all your tables are up to date.

I couldn't figure out make any changes in ECUFlash, so I sucked in the map in ECUFlash, saved it to a .bin, opened it in ROMRaider to remove the codes, then went back to ECUFlash to upload the new .bin to the ECU.

Try just using ECUflash. To toggle enable or disable use the [ key. If you open a window and click edit it will show you what keys do what. That way you will not have to convert it back and forth and you can leave it as an .srf file.

I went to do it in EcuFlash, and it says it's already done. On a more positive note; thanks Quiny, I now know how to change settings directly in EcuFlash.

I'm starting to think I should either hook up the sensor or put a resistor in.

The ECU won't compensate for fuel temperature depending on your ECU and how the duty cycle is tuned. Fuel pump duty cycle is something that is adjustable on some ECU's from 33% to 66% to 100%. Fuel temperature is good to monitor in the tuning process as the vapor point of fuel is very low and can cause some serious lean conditions if it gets to that point. You definitely want the sensor hooked up.

Hmmm... neither the Factory Five tank nor the Boyd tank have a way to get the sensor wires into the tank. I duct taped it on the outside of the tank for now, but I wonder why no one else has ever mentioned this before.

We have been modifying and tuning turbo Subarus for 10 years and know quite a few things that many others do not.

great advice, I will find a way to get the fuel temp sensor back in the circuit. What about the exhaust temp sensor? I wish TurnIn was closer to home, I would load the car up and send it right over. Tony you seem to know what your talking about.

I wired my fuel temp sensor and placed it on the tank, not in the tank, on the assumption that the reported temp is close enough.
