My donor is a 2002 WRX wagon. I just finished mounting the accelerator pedal. This has been the most challenging task to date.

My concern is that the accelerator pedal is restricted from going to the floor (or very deep) because it hits the cross bar connecting the clutch pedal to the clutch master cylinder. Can anyone tell me if this is what is expected? Or if I installed my accelerator pedal incorrectly.

Thanks

Don't follow the instructions in the manual, it won't work. In fact, most people ditch the supplied bracket all together. I currently have mine mounted to the front aluminum, but will probably come up with some other way to mount it.

I also have a 2002 donor, I mounted the pedal as per the manual. Although it seems restricted it does allow for full throttle control. I may add a stop since the pedal does not reach the floor to prevent bending it.

That's a good call. It will bend with a mild stomp.

The stop is great idea since I already drilled the holes in the frame and firewall. If you figure out a good way to install a stop, please post it. If I figure one out first, I'll post mine.
