mocked up my 2.5 n/a exhaust do i need both converters?

i made the exhaust look like the manual and set it up in place but it appears that there is only room for 1 sensor in the exhaust system. Am i right? Does it even matter?

The front sensor (before the cat) is used to adjust air-fuel ratio.
The rear sensor (after cat) make sure cat is working. If you run without a cat, you will get a P0420 CEL.
