I'm thinking it is a good idea to run a AOS on my race motor. Anyone have one already or thoughts on the matter? Looks like Perrin has a nice one, along with some others.

Crawford v2 is pretty much the standard for performance, and the price tag matches.
I've had bad experience using the Grimspeed style AOS on track (but admittedly mine was a knock-off); the design, though OK for street use (IMHO) isn't up to the demands of hard lapping with the lateral loads my STI was generating; with the 818 -no way I'd run that type.

Looks like the new Perrin uses the same design as the Crawford but a little less expensive, with better connections. Looks like the Crawford had some powder coat issues....inside the tank... Yikes. Hopefully V2 fixed that.
Damn, this 818R is getting expensive, but it cheaper than motor problems!

I won't be taking my car to the track or driving it hard, but still don't like the idea of oil everywhere so I decided on the AOS. I went with the Perrin because I liked the design / connections better from just looking at it.

I figured to run the same system as I do with my Mustang. I bought a separator from summit that goes in series with the pcv. I think it was intended for a Dodge but it has a solid mount that work well on the inner fender. I have a vented separator from the valve cover. Subie should work the same.

Search eBay. There are several "imitation" AOS that are nearly identical billet aluminium for 70% less than the Perrin.
Like this one: Subaru AOS on eBay (http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?icep_ff3=2&pub=5574629015&toolid=10001&campid=5337493111&customid=&icep_item=321430054016&ipn=psmain&icep_vectorid=229466&kwid=902099&mtid=824&kw=lg)

The Crawford one is the only proven Aos to work properly with the ej engines

Why not just use a simple catch can?

Why not just use a simple catch can?
Another thing to monitor, you'd have to drain it and re-fill the engine oil. You don't have to with the AOS.
I have a V2 that will be going on our R.
