I have 7 and don't remember removing anything like it. Engine is a 2002 EJ205. Any ideas are appreciated.

They snap into the rear timing belt covers where the mounting bolts go.

Thanks, figures I already installed the covers and the belt. They don't seal any live oil passages do they? Just keep out dirt I hope.
