Hey, many of you have probably seen my "transmission thread"
i've been slowly starting up a company that focuses on manual transmissions, subaru's in particular.
if I were to start up a vendor account here, and offer "custom" 818 Transmissions, who would be interested?
I would be offering a rebuild of your current transmission, Including removal of the center diff section, adapting them to "RWD" operation if needed; Installation of a Limited slip front (rear) differential; and pretty much any Gear, or final drive ratio you would like.
Also I would be offering a "NEW/UPGRADE" transmission option, if you don't have a "donor" or don't want to ship me your current trans. This would be: brand new internals that have been cryo treated, Shot peened, and Micro Polished; installed into a used case with all new seals, synchros, etc. A limited slip of your choice installed. As well as the Adapter sleeve and plate installed.
So, who's interested? who's sold? I'm really hoping there will be enough people wanting a strengthened transmission, or a good quality rebuild, that this will be a feasible option. I would love to add to the 818 Community.
