When I check on ebay to buy rear lateral links (both sets, which means 4 links), I am unable to understand which sets are compatible with a 2003 Wagon non-turbo.
Here are the links: http://www.ebay.ca/sch/i.html?_trksid=p2050601.m570.l1313.TR0.TRC0.H0.Xim preza+wagon+rear+forward+lateral+links&_nkw=impreza+wagon+rear+forward+lateral+links&_sacat=0&_from=R40

There are STIs in there, GC8s, WRX Wagons, etc... I don't know which ones. I will check on Xusia's google spreadsheet, maybe the info is in there... https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AhG99PnZiZFHdHd4aUpCU2ZpVnUzWXpMemxJSXctN 2c#gid=2
I don't need them to be adjustable.
tnx!

I checked on the spreadsheet and of course all WRX and non-turbo from 02-07 are compatible, but the doc doesn't take into account the fact the Wagon has a 10mm smaller link. And I don't know if it's all Wagons (STis, WRX, non-turbo) or just the non-turbo Wagon that has a 10mm smaller link. Also it seems only 04+ STis may work, not the links from 03- STis.
I believe the frame has some holes to accommodate both the Sedan and Wagon, but if I have every part coming from a Wagon, can I easily use Sedan links or I have some other actions to complete?
ALL sedans have the longer links.
ALL wagons have the shorter links.
You can use whichever ones you want. You are not restricted by any other rear suspension component.

Only the front has specific holes for the wagon at street height. There are only two rear suspension holes: race or street height. I can't help with the question though. Just address that assumption .

Are we sure the wagon toe links are shorter? The reason I ask is because it makes no sense that FFR would support the front suspension of a wagon, but not the rear. While I support they could "support" it by just having less rear track width, but that's kinda counter to whole performance thing...

Frank, regardless, just buy ones for a sedan. I'm sure someone has posted the length of a sedan toe link online. If not, I'll measure mine.
Also, I suggest you get one set adjustable. Personally, I find cam bolt adjustment a joke (and very limited). I really think you'll want more adjustability. ;)

Hey Guys
Back in September I ask Jim Schenck about the wagon bars in back. Here is his response.
"""The rear of the car is also 10mm narrower per side when you use the wagon arms (the CV joints are 5mm shorter to allow them to work for both applications) Having the rear of the car slightly narrower than the front is fine handling wise (which is why we overcompensated the front and not the rear) and the rear is designed to be able to accommodate wider tires than the front which would bring the total tread width back to even."""

So if I understand, ceteris parisbus (all things being equal) a sedan donor 818 would have a 10mm wider rear track?
Like Xusia said, if I get adjustable links I can then make it whatever width I want.
That's good to know, cuz I was fearing the fact using sedan links but having the rest from a wagon would mess up some other things. Looks like not, so I will find a nice set of sedan links, most of them are adjustable on ebay anyway.

Just seeing the opportunity here, after reading Jim's response. If there was a particular wheel you or anyone liked that was only available in a lower than ideal offset, wagon lateral links might provide the needed spacing.

Adjustables offer the best situation, adjust to fit your desires...

I agree, Adjustable is best. Just make sure you stay with in the limits of the inner CV joint.

I'm gonna buy some off of ebay. Nice friend, that is, so many things there, even Apple could buy Facebook on ebay!
