Not into spending lots of $$$ on a clutch as I run my challenge car on a $99 Ford Racing clutch and pressure plate for over 2 seasons and no issues, I just replace it when I refresh the engine. Not a lot of need for a heavy duty clutch in road racing with a stock STi engine. So I was looking at the Exedy KSB03 and I assume this will also fit a JDM engine? I'm going to keep the original flywheel.

If it's the 5spd transmission, it should fit just fine.

you always match the clutch and flywheel to the trans for subarus, so i would look into what flywheel you have and go from there

Just to be certain, if I have a 2.5l '06 STi engine and an '06 WRX 5-speed, both the clutch and flywheel should be for the '06 WRX 5-speed? For example, Exedy lists their FF501 flywheel for use with the STi (EJ257) engine and their FF502 flywheel for use with WRX (EJ255). I should use the clutch AND flywheel for my WRX 5-speed application? Confirmation is appreciated.

Thanks,

-Mike

Your correct, the flywheel and clutch has to mate to 5 speed
