It is unclear to me whether we need the strut mounts or not. Searching on the forum didn't bring me with that evidence.
In the manual, it doesn't say to save the mounts and once you get to the installation, all I could see was
Attach one of the insulated clips (or you can modify the factory strut mount on the rubber line) to the
spindle adapter with a 3/16 inch rivet. Repeat on passenger side.
Which isn't clear to me. By "factory", it means FFR or OEM?

No you dont need them. Only the strut to spindle hardware.

That comment is referring to the bracket on the flex brake line to mount it to the strut. I got StopTech braided lines, cut off that bracket and used the FFR supplied clip to attach it to the spindle adapter... looks much cleaner.

Oops, I am very close to selling what's left of the donor and since I will buy the Wilwood braided lines, I was not planning on keeping any OEM brackets.
You said you cut if off, which means you kept it but you just cut some of it?

The bracket I'm referring to (that's mentioned in your first post) comes attached to the flex brake line. To clarify, I cut it off, and threw it away! I attached the flex line to the spindle adapter using the clip in the kit.

Ha got it. So I won't need the flex lines and clip, using only the braided lines. But just in case, I think I better keep all that. We never know!
