STI steering rack diameter vs WRX

Can someone throw a micrometer on their steering rack tube for me?

I mounted my STI rack and it looks like the bracket needs some grinding.

It looks like mine is just under 1.9" just wondering if a WRX's is narrower or if i'm going crazy.

I had to grind it a bit to fit my 05 WRX rack (rack with Al ears) details in my build thread

I have two versions of the bracket for my 06. First was too small. Dont remember how the second updated one fit as I made my own.

I ground it down enough to fit, and then decided while I was at it to take it down enough so that I didn't need spacers under the bracket.

came out nice. level side to side and seems very much in line with the frame. Very solid, this thing is not going anywhere.

I tied the lines together quick until I have a minute to take the rack apart.

did you have to grind away some of the "ear" on the bracket that cradles the rack on the right? I see that it looks like it hits the fitting like it did on mine and Craig's... is your rack centered or do you need to place it off center? Craig and I extended the rack 1.1" to equal bump steer and have the rack centered at straight ahead. What is your frame serial #?

Yes I took the front ear off, it's very close but not touching. I'll take a picture of the bracket when I remove it to epoxy coat.

Not sure how far offset it is, chassis is #35
