I'm assembling the last few things and getting ready to drop the engine in tomorrow and can't figure out a couple of things. Maybe you guys can give me a hand.

Photo 1 Vacuum Hoseshttp://i762.photobucket.com/albums/xx265/barretttrucking/VacuumHose_zpsc68678e2.jpg
1- What hooks up to this?
2-What hooks up to this?
3- this is part of the little pipe that is on the back right side of the motor. What does it go to?
4-Top part of the Turbo inlet tube- don't know what hooks up to this

Photo 2 Small tubes on water pipes http://i762.photobucket.com/albums/xx265/barretttrucking/Waterpipe_zpsf82572f5.jpg
1- This is the small tub on the water pipe that runs on top of the block
2- small tube on the other water pipe

Photo 3 Heater pipes? On page 122 of the book it says to connect the two heater pipes together with the u-shaped hose. From what I can tell, my are not close together. Maybe I have them assembled incorrectly, but I can't figure out how to do it another way. Suggestions? http://i762.photobucket.com/albums/xx265/barretttrucking/Ushapehose_zpse3cce181.jpg

1- Runs from the Water pump, across the top of the block, and down the back
2- hooks up to the big crossover water pipe on top of the block. Seems like it should be down by #1, but the way it bolts to the crossover pipe, it won't rotate, as far as I can tell.

Thanks for your help!

What engine is this? Everything looks slightly different. But this is how I think it should be:

1- BOV
2- Coolant line #2 from photo 2
3- PCV? should go to #4
4- PCV

Yes, those should be looped together.

in photo #2, 1 and 2 can be looped together if you don't want to heat your throttle body.

Thanks guys, I appreciate your help. I still can't figure out why the two heater pipes aren't near each other. It's a 02 2.0 turbo motor.

Thanks again.

Some WRX have the hoses near each other for the heater. The 06 definitely does. You could swap the crossover manifold. For the throttle body coolant line just weld up the nipples on the aluminum and steel pipes and cap the throttle body. A little cleaner than looping the hoses. Do not just cap off the large heater hose nipples. These must be looped.

This post helped me with the same questions I had on those lines. What's the line in pic 3 top left hanging down below the craftsman label on the tool box? I have that one disconnected too and don't know where it goes.

That's just a breather for that TGV motor. None of the later models have that line; there is just a rubber cap on the TGV motor. I don't think it actually goes anywhere.

Justen, my '07 looks a lot different. My engine has exhaust air pump valves located there but with larger hoses. I can't see what else is attached to investigate. Could it be an older version of that? Just an idea until the smart people show up. ;)

Considering all the hoses, this could be a popular thread!
I finally found a "home" for the B127 plug - the Wastegate Control Solenoid Valve. But, where do these two hoses connect?

"A" goes to the T on the turbo

"B" goes to the top front of the turbo inlet

rori knows his hoes. err hose.

Yes, rori knows his hose, so I've already hooked up the wastegate solenoid hoses. Thanks.
Now, where do the 2 hoses (not hoes!) from the coolant tank go? (It's mounted on Craig's cool coolant tank bracket, of course.)

Pete, I was wondering the same, but I believe Wayne was recommending the left one (I don't know if it matters) can be used for his air burping mod by attaching it to a builder installed nipple at the upper main coolant pipe.

The one coming out of the tank goes to the nipple on the upper right of the radiator. The one coming out of the cap needs to go to a coolant overflow bottle.

I'm confused. I haven't mounted my white plastic overflow bottle yet because FFR shows it in the engine compartment and many builders here have mounted it on the radiator. One tube from the coolant tank atop the engine goes all the way to the front to the radiator, and then the other tube also goes all the way to the front-mounted white plastic overflow bottle? Really?

I'm pretty sure there are two overflow tanks, one up front with the radiator and one in the engine compartment .

Got that wrong only a overflow tank with the engine. Confused the fill on the aftermarket coolant tubes . Must be getting old. Lol

There is the clear plastic radiator overflow tank. Has a plastic blue snap on cap. The lines from this connect to the radiator.

There is also a turbo coolant tank. Metal or thick black plastic with a special radiator cap. The lines from this attach to the turbo water inlet pipes and the crossover.
