I'm getting pretty deep into my donor break down and I have a few questions on sensors/connectors that I'm not familiar with. Identifying the sensors would help me out and help me learn more about the engine in general. If I don't need some of these sensors that would also be helpful to know.

This cluster of connectors is right above the 5mt in my 2002 wrx.

Just to the left of the oil fill tube. (Front, driver side)

These three are located underneath the alternator, underneath center intake manifold.

These vacuum lines are just to the right of the turbo inlet

This connector is inner driver side fender, underneath the fuel filter.

This sensor is inner passenger fender, has a few large electric connectors.

I'm getting close to pulling the engine/trans. Any tips or how to threads you've come across that were helpful for you would be greatly appreciated.

This cluster of connectors is right above the 5mt in my 2002 wrx.

1 is for the rear 02 sensor, 1 is for the speedo gear, the other is the nuetral/gear select sensor I think.


Just to the left of the oil fill tube. (Front, driver side)



That two wire one is your cam position sensor.


These three are located underneath the alternator, underneath center intake manifold.

Top to bottom: Coolant sensor, oil pressure sensor, crank position sensor


These vacuum lines are just to the right of the turbo inlet


Purge solenoids. Works in conjunction with the charcoal canister. If you don't need emissions you can remove these, cap it off (threads are BSPT, not NPT).



This connector is inner driver side fender, underneath the fuel filter.


Believe it's the front ABS sensor connector.


This sensor is inner passenger fender, has a few large electric connectors.


The blue thing is the turbo wastegate solenoid. Gray and orange connector is an engine harness to fron tharness connector. Not sure if the one beneath it is the other engine harness or the connector for the front 02 sensor.
