i have hoses running all over the engine. what is the least or cleanest solution ?

I think someone had a whole thread on "cleaning up the EJ20" or something to that effect. sounds like it is exactly what you are looking for. ("H4" = Horizontal 4, aka boxer engine)

What motor is it? Its different for turbo, non turbo, and 2.0 vs 2.5 turbo motors.
