Anybody know if the original "pitch stop" trans. to firewall piece is to be reused in the 818? I don't see one in any photos, or in the assembly manual. Seems to me it has its purpose, and would make the engine/trans. assembly more stable.

Don't believe it is used. Not sure if there is much need for it. In the stock config, the engine sits on soft mounts while the trans sits on a soft mount that bolts to a subframe comprised of several stamped pieces held together with soft mounts. There's quite a bit of movement.

In the 818, the subframe is removed and the trans mount is held directly onto the frame. There isn't much room for forward pitching movement, and the pitch stop did little to nothing to prevent side to side motion.

I think the best solution is aftermarket engine/trans mounts.

^ yeah a set of Group N engine and trans mounts will stiffen everything up way more than the pitch stop ever could if that is what your after.
