Cool engine.

I hate starting sentences with "if I were you" but why don't you take a few minutes bolt the heads back on and degrease and powerwash it. I think it would be a much easier sell.

Do you have the heads? It says they are removed but are they included?

^ heads on those things are pretty much worthless, the only time its nice to have a fully assembled ej22t is for the guy that wants to drop one in his first gen legacy. besides that the engine barley out performed the NA 2.5s that replaced it.

Also the block should be rebuilt if it has been sitting for any length of time at all. I have seen a few thousand dollar build go to waste by trying to make that short cut with a 22t block before.

I will be honest, since new assembled ej255/257 short blocks are so inexpensive these days and have a proven track record for working well (depite only being semi-closed), the whole closed deck ej22t thing has lost its luster and people don't think its worth the extra hassle anymore. Back in 2005-2008 they were all the rage though...

you can clean a pig but it still a pig ? yes i dont want to bolt the heads on as people dont use them anyways.. keep it old school - get boost old school way.

i dont have a drain in my shop - dont have power washer - dont have truck to load it up and drive it to car wash.. its been sitting since febuary on a moving cart... if it doesnt sell then maybe ill have to do something.

it might sell if you drop the price, like i said, they are not the hot commodity they were once, honestly i would be impressed if you could get $400 for the short block now days, plus the cost of shipping is killing you, good luck with selling it though.

They might be ok for the 818 owner that wants a simple turbo motor, modern wrx/sti heads make the compression too low, so now pistons are required. At that price point you are right, the ej25 is a better option. A complete long block for $700 obo might sit better with some of the budget 818 builders.

also I meant just slapping the heads on just to keep water out of the cylinders.

gotcha, just saying, for $700 I wouldn't want that greasy thing showing up at my door.

Oh there is hope.. Ebay completed items -

I guess ill borrow a truck and clean it up and just list it as a BUY IT NOW option till it sell. Maybe ill toss in all the extra stuff - but i feel that is just dead weight as i doubt someone would use the heads , intake , exhaust manifolds, etc..

Nothing wrong with the the exhaust manifold on a 22t.
