Hello guys,

Sort of a coyote question, but more so a wiring question. I just realized I haven't put in any kind of mega fuse or master fuse or whatever into my Coyote wiring scheme.
Here is what I got - Should I put in a 150 amper in the green spot (or should it be in the alternator lead)?

21020

EPAS = electric power assist steering
KEY = Keyed battery cut off switch
ALT = Alternator
FF1 and FF2 = the two power leads that go to the Ron Francis harness
FORD ECM = power lead to the ford blackbox
S.S. = Starter Solenoid lug

FF1, FF2, and FORD ECM are already protected independently. Hmmm.. the more i think about it, I am guessing it would be better to be in the alternator lead before the battery cutoff(?)

Short answer: No, I don't think I would put a fuse there, especially not a 150A.
Long answer: What are you trying to protect? The FF1 anf FF2 leads are already fused in the block, the EPAS already has a fuse (per your drawing) and you usually don't want to put a fuse on the alternator b/c ripple can cause them to blow. Not to mention 150A @12V is more power than you alternator is physically capable of generating, hence, the fuse will not blow until long after whatever your trying to protect has already turned into a piece of toast.
