2002 WRX donor car with BAD MOTOR - Nebraska

I bought this 2 weeks ago - cant find time to go to omaha and get it - so i asked the guy i bought it from if i can just see if someone else needs it..

I have up for sale a 2002 Subaru WRX that is world rally blue in color with a mileage of 181982. I had purchased the car with plans to swap it and make a track car out of it, but other stuff has come up and I'm looking to sell this.

The good:
Has new struts all the way around as of about a thousand miles ago
The transmission was replaced out by the previous owner. (the tranny currently in the car is supposed to have about 80k on it
The clutch is newer as well
The car has a clean title

The bad:
The motor has spun rod bearings.
The car has hail damage (noticeable on the aluminum hood but not as noticeable elsewhere on the car.)
The headlamps are hazy
Has a small dent on the bottom rear portion of the drivers side rear quarter (not terribly noticeable and could probably be easily popped out by a PDR guy)
No radio
The factory wing is missing (if needed I have a Black OEM WRX wing that I could throw in with the sale of the car.)
Currently sitting on 3 aftermarket cheapo rims with good tires and ! stock rim with a OK tire


Overall it would be a good car to drop a re-manufactured short block in to or a bone yard long block and drive as a daily.

I'm asking $2500.00 for it.

It has light hail damage , rear spoiler missing , radio is missing - he was going to fix it up but lost interest.. Has clean nebraska title.

Got this to my shop - with a battery it started right up - its noisey ( engine ) drove it up on trailer both on and off -

I know my location isnt very desirable - but i really want to move this. out of my shop.

You could offer to cut off the front clip like ebay jdm companies & ship it out for an extra fee, or do the entire tear down to a true doner pallet. I would think someone here would be willing to pay a bit extra for your labors if you were reasonable. Just an idea. I'm piecing mine part at a time & would have saved a lot of time/money having someone do it for me then drop motor for a rebuild.

i would totally make a donor swap kit minus motor ( since it not good ) Then still part out the rest of the car i suppose - But i doubt this car gonna last - 4 calls today from craigslist - id rather in gone - unless someone wants to pay me for it now and pick it up later... i have another VW to buy...
