25th Anniversary MK4 "Quarter Past Half Time Machine" Build: Driver side foot box support

Driver side support to help with rigidity and sealing out the heat.

  1. Inner corner trying to close out any gaps and make it air tight against the heat.

  2. I actually do not like this design. I was too invested to start over.

  3. Inside the engine well view. Trying to full seal any gaps to keep the heat out. I will paint this black and once my outer heat shield is installed,...

  4. I was too invested to start over. I'll add another piece across the cut to give more support.

  5. Bending those curves were not easy. :|

  6. Prior to any work and was thinking about how to close and seal the gap across the chassis 4"round tube.

  7. I couldn't get this to fit and lay totally flat. I had no choice but to split it into two pieces.

  8. This was not easy to make and in the end I made it wrong!
