    07 WRX to be specific. Wide intercooler, airpump, dog leg fuse box, and windshield washer tank in the fender make it 06/07. The large wiring harness over by the passenger strut tower makes it an 07. With some expensive camber plates too.

    Just to add..What make it NOT an STI...

    Plastic intercooler - as STIs had an all aluminum one. ('02-'05 2.0 WRXs did also)
    Raw 'silver' intake manifold - STIs had red painted intake manifolds.

    Yes, aftermarket blowoff valve.

    Is it so much differences betwen STi & WRX motor & transmission that it won't work for 818?

    STI come with a 6-speed. It is longer than a 5-speed so it won't fit.
    FFR4958. IRS, 408W, Loud and fast!

    Motor will work, still 6 speed won't as mentioned. The 06+ wrx are all 2.5l blocks with Avcs like the sti.

    yes - so unless it was driven hard, it likely has some carbon buildup in the engine too.
