Turn signal mounting to Vinyl Dash

Mounting the 427ie turn signal to the vinyl dash, the backing plate does not lay flat due to the opening being molded, did you all just shave it flat ?

I believe I covered this in one of our videos. Regardless, the back of the dash needs to be flat. You can cut it or grind it flat. We've had many installed on the plastic padded dash. Reach out to me through email if you have any questions and I'll do my best to get you back on track.
