    Mark 5 Ergonomics

I am very interested in picking up a Cobra replica, but have problems fitting.

I sat in a Superformance, knees were hitting dash.

I sat in a Hunter long wheelbase, not a lot better. Bottom of seat back to pedals was 39".

I measured from the bottom of the seat back to pedals on my 340xi (which I run all the way back) and it was 44".

Can anyone with a Mark 5 measure this for me (with seat all the way back)?

I saw on their video a guy 6'-5" get in one, wondering if his legs were really bent in the driving position.

    Thanks!

Spoke to Nick at Factory Five and he was able to measure one, he came up with 42" and said another 2" might be available with pedal adjustments and seat style.

It will vary depending on the seat used and how it is mounted or inclined. I have Kirkey lowbacks in my Mk5 with the front raised about 2 inches and just measured 44 inches from the pedals to the lower seat back. If they were flat on the floor that would increase by a couple of inches. The thicker traditional roadster seats would decrease those dimensions by about 2 inches.

I’m 6’4” all legs, 34” inseam” and I’m comfortable. I had to raise the seat as it was too low. Your best bet is to find someone close and sit in one if you can. I have Kirkey seats. I did not fit in a Super Performance I tried at a car show.
