Brand New Member in the DFW area - anyone with a Daytona?

Hi all, I have been debating what my next project will be and the Daytona is at the top of the list.

I’m curious if anyone lives in the Fort Worth area that would be willing to let me check out a fully built Daytona so I can get a feel for what I’m really getting myself into. I’ve never done a full kit build but I’ve done a lot of work on various platforms for track use (Miatas and Corvettes mainly).

Thanks and I’m happy to be a part of the forums now!

Welcome! I don't live in the DFW area, but I'm currently building a Coupe. I have also built a MK4 that I still have. At the stage I'm at in the Coupe build, the two are very similar. I expect the more significant challenges of the Coupe build to come with fitting the body, the nose in particular. I think the biggest surprise for me with the Coupe is just how small it is inside the car. If you look at my signature, you'll see a link to my YouTube channel where I've been posting progress videos every few weeks if you're interested.

Appreciate that, I will definitely check it out!

I am 6’2” so I was a bit concerned with how big the interior is in reality.

I'm 5'9" and 190lbs. and with the seats I'm using (Sparco R100), I'm comfortable. The seats you go with will make a big difference. Going with a slim racing seat will gain you about 2-3" in leg room over a seat like the Sparco.
