Mk4 Roadster with IRS - Battery Box location options

    Greetings fellow FFR builders,

Reaching out to see if anyone has suggestions or preferences about the location of the battery box. Since i have the 2015 IRS option from FFR, I was going to go with the FFMetal battery box but looks like that wont fit with IRS.
looking for options on what to do.

Relocate it to the front with Breeze option.

+1 for Breeze option. Easy install with nothing in the way early on. You'll have a better idea where to route your brake lines with it installed as well.

So, I'm going to go a different direction, and suggest the Breeze battery box.

Need another Breeze vote to break the tie? It's a perfect solution. I think everybody knows by now the Mk5 (and the Gen3 Coupe before that) has the battery in the front. Good reasons to put it there.

Well, Looks like it's a close vote then! Can't argue with that lol.

Thanks to all who responded, (I'm sure I will have more questions.)

I've got the MK5 so my battery is already up front.
I must say my Breeze seat mounts I just mounted are a great addition too and his radiator shroud.

Alright, I'll be the odd man out and say, the Breeze mount is great solution. However, I did not go that route. Since I put a locking cubby in my back wall, I didn't want the battery in the way of that. I moved the battery over to the passenger side kinda under the rollbar (I have the passenger side rollbar). Fits well and I have made it easily removable when the time comes.

I did the same, not because it's the best solution or anything, but because I'm a miserable cheapskate...

I used the kit provided hold-down, put a reinforcing piece of steel underneath the floor, put a piece of 3M rubber sheet underneath the battery and installed an Odyssey PC925 battery.

I think we share the same affliction. Hello fellow cheapskate.

Btw, that is exactly how I did mine. Great minds think alike.

I don't know if it's been mentioned but Breeze makes a nice piece.
