Another pedal box shifting question

Hello again. I have searched the forum on this topic but much of the results are old, use a different pedal arrangement, was during a crossover time, etc. Like many with big feet, I am having trouble not hitting the brake pedal when pressing the gas pedal. My MK4 was produced in 2022, and I have the Willwood brake/clutch pedal arrangement. Both pedals have an "H-beam" or "I-beam" cross section, and I have the pedal pads shifted all the way left. Is there a relatively easy way to shift the pedal box assembly, or the pedal levers themselves to the left a bit? I read posts about using different shoes, and that could help, but I was hoping for a bit more mechanic fix.

I have the same vintage MK4. While I don't have large feet (size 10), the pedal box is a tight space regardless. Shoes do make a difference. I use indoor soccer shoes which work well as their soles are narrow with no overhang (unlike running shoes). The other thing that made a difference was changing out the Wildwood pedals with Forte's narrow oval pedals - https://fortesparts.com/product/ac-pedal-pads/. These pedals are narrower, but also their oval shape helps decrease the chance you foot mistakenly catches the corner of the brake pedal when pressing the gas. I would suggest trying these changes before attempting to alter the geometry of the pedal box.

Make sure that the gas pedal is at least 2” forward of the brake when both are at rest. If they are on or near the same plane it’s pretty much guaranteed that you hit the gas when braking.

I have size 14 feet. Not super wide though. The answer for me was what Jeff stated for the pedal setup. This also sets the pedals up for heal/toe. The other is driving shoes. I wear Puma Speedcats. They are shaped to your feet with no sole sticking out on the sides. I cannot drive in anything else without hitting both pedals.

Thanks for the info. I'm a 12.5 wide+, but only 5'10" tall, lol. I'll adjust my gas and brake resting position to make sure the gas pedal is well forward of the brake pedal. Waterman, just so I understand from your link...you you created a little more foot room to the right of the gas pedal with your inner wall mod, and trimmed the pedal pads on the brake and clutch? You didn't actually have to, or do, a shifting of the brake/clutch pedal levers to the left, correct? I ask because a few really old forum posts seemed to show a similar Wilwood brake pedal setup and they were carving into the left square tubing of the foot box for clearance. It looked like a period when the pedal box changed but the FFR chassis hadn't caught up yet, but I wasn't sure.
