    Steering arm orientation

    I'm having trouble confirming the steering arm orientation for the mkiv 289.

    The manual seems to show up and out, but it's difficult to tell. Can someone confirm this setup? Photos are the driver side

    Yes...pointing up and out.

    The steering arm hole is tapered to accept the tie rod end. Larger opening of the tapered hole points down to accept the tie rod end from underneath. It won't work the other way.
