    Oil dipstick install

Getting the entire engine in the roadster was way faster than getting the oil dip stick in the hole.

I have seen people have a similar issue but not clear on how it was resolved.

I can't get the dipstick past the first ring.

Looks like it should go in further but no luck so far.

This is a blueprint 302 engine.

    Suggestions?
    Mk IV, IRS, 302 w/EFI & T5, 15" wheels

it's a press fit. try putting an adjustable wrench above the flare in the tube and tap on the wrench with a hammer. taking the paint off with a wire wheel or sandpaper can also buy you some clearance. a little grease may help too.

I had the same issue . I had to file the all the paint off and some more before it would go in.

Having a similar issue with my new BP 347". I think the first ring is where it should be from their website. My issue is getting it in up to the first ring and then the orientation for the mounting bracket. Toward back hits the side panel, to the front it is way off.
How did you finally get installed.

    Thanks, Ralph
