275/40 17 tires on the front of a roadster

Has anybody put 275/40 17 tires on the front of a MK4 roadster? They're the same diameter as the 314/35 17s I'm putting on the rear. Just wondering if putting 275s on the front will cause any rubbing issues as they're 30mm wider than the 245s.

No problem as long as the excess wheelwell lip flashing is properly trimmed. They'll kiss the F panels at full lock...but so will 245s. Not a problem in normal driving.
