    Front splash guard installation

Good evening, all. I have found a little, but not much for how the front splash guards are to look when installed properly (the link below is the closest I have found). It appears the "elephant ear" irregular shape on the outside is because the panel transitions from being inside the body line, to riding along the inside of the fender flare area. Is this correct? A few of the older posts mention having to add bend to the panel to get it to fit without gaps. I seem to have too much gap at the top, and an interference (or need to trim) at the bottom. I do have the rubber seal attached and seated to the outside perimeter of the panel. Any insight as to what is normal and what typically needs to be done would be appreciated! I am wanting to finish my side pipe openings and had learned in the not too distant past that the splash guards must be in place when doing that.

    Thanks,

Thanks, i.e.327. That helps quite a bit with seeing how it flows along the inside of the body. I am looking good everywhere except for the vertical top transition (please see pic). If I were to pull the bulb seal away from "fully seated" in that area, I think it will seal up enough but that seems odd to me to have to do that. I double checked, and the body is indeed centered left-to-right on the chassis. Thoughts anyone? Thanks much!
