    Feather fill or Slicksand advise

I have seen on other posts that a lot of people have preferred slick sand over feather fill g2, however I am able to find the feather fill for about $100 less for a gallon than the slick sand. If the prices were closer I would probably go with slick sand, but the sale price on the feather fill g2 looks too tempting. Any recommendations on why that wouldnt be a good idea? Thanks!

Feather Fill builds 2.0-4.0 mils per coat. Slick Sand builds 4.0-6.0 mils per coat. Lets take the middle and say that FF builds 3.0 per coat and SS builds 5.0 per coat. I do 3 coats of Slick Sand which equals 15.0 mils. To get the same coverage with FF would take 5 coats for 15 mils. I get 3 coats from 2 gallons of SS; it would take close to 4 gallons of FF. Do the math...

By the way, SS does sand a bit easier (keeping in mind that "sands easier" is relative!).

Thanks Jeff! The local suppliers have the slick sand at around $200-220 a gallon, but I was able to find the featherfill g2 online for $115 a gallon on sale. By that math it looks like it would break even cost wise in the end with the added amount required. Plus buying locally would let me get it shaken the day I need to spray. Appreciate the insight!
