tremec tr3160 transmission?
im compiling all the parts i need for a mk4 roadster kit. ive picked up a gen 3 coyote motor from a junkyard with IRS. in figuring out what transmission to go with i stumbled on a local tremec tr3160 6 speed out of a shelby gt350 for a very reasonable price. I am curious if anyone has used this transmission on a roadster before? the gearing may not be the most ideal, as 1st gear in a car that light, will probably be fairly short. but from the gearing calculators, it seems like it would be suitable for a roadster built for mostly street driving?
would anyone have an idea what driveshaft or modifications i would need to do to get it connected to the rear diff? also from my understanding, it also runs a semi remote shifter like the mt82. I am figuring out what i would need to get the shifter position in the right place or if there are any options similar to the formacars kit for the mt82?
any input is appreciated, just trying to figure out what route i need to go.
