    MKII Quick Jack Hardware

    Hello Again!
I recently inherited a partially-completed MKII Roadster from a family member, and I'm trying to finish the build! Turns out, the hardest part of the process is sorting through the countless, unlabeled plastic ziplock bags of hardware and not knowing what on earth each one is for.

After much investigating, it appears that the hardware to mount the body to the chassis has been lost to time... I found the quick jacks themselves, but not the nuts, bolts, spacers, and washers. Can anyone provide me the dimensions of these nuts and bolts? Can the spacers be cut from length of pipe? If i order new quick jacks from the FF webstore (https://www.factoryfiveparts.com/159...ith-fasteners/) does that include the quick jack mounting hardware?

    Any help is appreciated!

pretty sure it's 7/16"-14 but you might want to cross check my numbers.
I bought 2' of stainless steel tubing from onlinemetals.com for the appropriate size. If you get the front grommets from moulded metro parts (https://metrommp.com/front_bumper_ar...4aAmvUEALw_wcB )
I recall the OD of the metal sleeve needs to be larger than the stock tubing that came w/ the kit.

I think that is right, i've seen that measurment in other posts. Do you know the lengths of bolts necessary?

I also found a set of those grommets already amongst the spare parts that came with my partially assembled kit!

I think 5-6". you can always cut the bolt if too long, really depends on how far your want your quick jacks to stick out. if you buy stainless sleeve, you can cut your sleeve/bolt to any length you want. if you're doing the kleiner mod for the rear QJs (nut coupler method), I just used some all thread and cut it to desired length and then put some SS acorn nuts on the outside.

    bolts are 7 inches long.
Front tubes are 6 inches long.
Rear tubes should be 3.75 for the inner one and 1.75 for the outer one.

I ordered replacement bolts for mine from McMaster and made them SS. I hate rust. 7" & 8" and yes, 7/16-14.
