Wiper High Speed Not Working

Hi All,

For my FFR supplied wipers, I used the roadster wiper wiring instructions as per

But when I try the wipers with the key in the Run position, I only get the low speed to work (mid-position of switch). When I put the switch to the top position, the motor cuts out.

Has anyone run across this before? Do I need to move the brown (high speed) wire to a different terminal on the switch, such as to 1 or 7? (Instructions show it to terminal 8).

Be sure that the wires aren't reversed. The diagram is from the perspective of either the plug or the motor, can't recall. It's easy to wire a mirror image.
