    Lokar emergency brake installation

    Hey all,
I'm working on a Mark II kit (I am not the original builder) that has what appears to me to be a Lokar emergency brake mounted on the transmission tunnel. (Part # 9109041 Lokar XEHB-7000F Floor Mount Hand Emergency Brake/Boot Kit, Black)

The paperwork I got with the car has instructions on installation the brake cables to the disc brakes, but I have found nothing about mounting the handle.

I don't believe it is mounted correctly. It binds underneath and I see no toothed "gear" to ratchet the brake tight. It is currently mounted to the 3/4 inch cross member (not the transmission... if that is even an option).

Does anyone have installation instructions for mounting the brake handle?

    Rich

This is awesome, just what I was looking for. Thanks a ton!

I was able to correct the brake handle installation. I now have an emergency brake.... just in case of an emergency.
