Would an 8.8 rear end from a 2000 Ford Explorer work?

Could I use the rear end housing from a 2000 Ford Explorer, rebuild it, and put in some Moser 5 lug axles? I'm looking to source a 5.0 engine from a 2000 Ford Explorer, so I'll have the rear end as well, if it fits.

No. Wrong mounts, wrong width and wrong pinion offset.
