    Question seat warmers installation

I got the Cobra Valley Seat Heaters - REALLY well built product!

Their directions are for the older style seats with hog-rings, the newer designed seats are a bit different
I got the back portion installed pretty easily, just undo the bottom tensioning brace and you can get your arm inside pretty easily - applied the tape, and done

the seat portion isn't' as forgiving, and before I unglue a side to lay in the heater - is there some magic I'm missing? or do I 'unglue' and re-glue after installing?

    Thanks!

Toadster - check out this thread from a few years ago. I had similar questions, and the collective wisdom helped me out. I'm pretty certain I didn't have to glue anything. Here's the link: https://thefactoryfiveforum.com/show...-cover-removal

Thx Al_C - I misstated, the seatback is easy, it's the bottom seat cushion part I'm struggling with... it's all glued, no hogrings or holding strips

Yup. Bottom cushion requires the fabric to be pulled off the foam and then re-glued when you're done. Every one I've ever done was about to fall off anyway. Not sure what glue they use but isn't great. I used DAP gel contact cement to re-glue. Available at Lowes, HD, etc.

Does anyone know if these seat heaters are the best ones for the FFR diamond stitch seats? I tried purchasing the Cobra Heat ones and I think they are out of business.. No joy on submitting an order on their website and email gets kicked back immediately.

    Thank you!

I also found the Cobra Heat website wouldn't accept an order along with several reports they weren't available from them any more. Messaged Mike Forte and he said he would get back to me. He didn't. I ended up using Corbeau seat heaters from Summit in my Mk5 build with the diamond stitched seats. Installed fine.
