LS headers in a Gen 3 coupe, anyone used the FFR headers?

Hey everyone,

I am about to start figuring out the headers for my LS3 Gen 3 Coupe and I heard that the factory now offers mounts and headers for this drivetrain choice ($900 for headers). I already fabbed my mounts up but would love to save a TON of time and effort by not building my own headers. FFR doesn't seem to have any dimensions or pictures readily available so I turn to the community.

Does anyone have a set of the LS headers for the Gen 3 coupe? If you do, can you snap some pictures and get some real general dimensions?

Mine was custom made for a Gen 2 and a LS2, let me know if you need anything.

I test mounted mine when I had the engine in the frame. Seemed ok to me. They came with the complete kit from FFR.

does your pan really sit that much below the framerails? that is a little concerning

also can I ask for a quick followup? can you give me a measurement from the back of your intake manifold to the firewall frame?

I think my mounts placed my engine close to where yours is I am just trying to get a rough idea of fitment before I throw away money if these things just won't clear.

unfortunately the engine is out of the frame at the moment. i just finished installing the panels so hopefully the engine will be back in the frame in the next couple of weeks. sorry!

yes, i too am concerned with the pan sitting that low. i asked about that and the suggestions were to add a skid plate at the time I was more concerned with the transmission mount being nowhere near the transmission but we seem to have resolved that one with a new transmission plate.

no worries, here it's still over 100 degrees all day so I probably wont be back in the garage for several weeks anyway. I will circle back in October

also I think you're gonna need more like a skid block than skid plate for that much overhang haha. I know some places make a low profile LS oilpan but that would require some work to swap it over. something to consider.

I'm going to try a Holley 302-1 oil pan. This should at least clear the bottom of the frame
