Square Feet | Dash and Tunnel Leather
All,
I’m looking to do a Leather Dash and the Trans Tunnel — How many square feet are needed for the Dash and Tunnel.
I talked w/ Herb so I’m set for door panels..
I was at the Shelby show and one of the Factory Five owners used: https://www.leatherhidestore.com/ for their leather…the leather was nice.
I ordered sample and it was good leather…
Thanks

Don't know how much this helps, but FWIW. Leather is often sold as 1/2 hide or full hide, and often the price isn't that much more. I used a full hide on my Roadster for dash, trans tunnel, glove box, and door cards. Had some left over but not a lot. I can't give an exact square foot number. What I learned is that buying a hide, if you go that way, does have quite a bit of waste. Up to 25% is not unusual. The thickness varies so some isn't useable. Plus there are "natural" defects like barb wire, etc. Also if you have any do-overs (I had one...) that makes a difference too. If you buy actual finished size pieces, shouldn't be that hard to figure out what you need.
