    Holly Sniper - EFI - FR550-510

    All,
    I've got a base kit where I upgraded just about everything...but on the other side comes situations where I am lost...

    What Fuel Filter do I need? Can I order a plain stock fuel filter off autozone or rockauto? If not, what specs should I be looking for in a fuel filter? Is there a good balance between quality and price...

    Then what regulator would you recommend?

    Where do you buy fuel line Quick Connect Connections...

    Keep in mind...I have not idea what I'm doing, figuring it out one step at a time...

    I have 190 LPH Intake Fuel Pump 3/8 - fuel line out...

    No racing only cruising (ok it maybe it'll hit a road race track once), but its being built for cruising...

    Thanks,

    Matt, I'll try to answer your questions in order;
    Holley has their own fuel filter that comes with the complete Sniper kit. You could order one from them or use a stock EFI fuel filter with 3/8 connections.
    The Sniper has a built in regulator set at 60 psi. It is the right hand connection at the back of the unit. You will need to run a 3/8 return line back to the tank. You can run your own regulator and deadhead fuel to the Sniper. You will have to cap the return port on the Sniper.

    I got my fuel connections from Summit Racing. I ran high pressure flex lines from the in tank pump outlet to the fuel filter and from the fuel filter to the hard line connector then hard lines from there to the engine bay. Hard line to AN-6 adapters and then AN-6 fuel line completed the connection to the Sniper.

    Your fuel pump meets the minimum fuel flow requirements but, make sure it is capable of at least 60psi.

    Go to the Holley website and download the full Sniper installation manual. It is 76 pages long with a lot of good info.

    PS If you send me a pm with your email I will send you a PDF copy of the Sniper manual

    Another option is to call Mark Reynolds at Breeze and have him set you up with a pump, filter, and fittings. Also eliminates the need to run two fuel lines. I am happy with this set-up and the ease of setting up.
