    Hello from Western North Carolina.

    Hello fellow FFR enthusiasts!

I recently acquired a MK1 Roadster from the original owner. The car is running and was titled in Tennessee but not completed (body, paint, final assembly). I plan to pull the body off over the winter, go through everything and make a few strategic upgrades. My goal is to have it ready for paint in the spring if all goes according to plan. I'm sure I'll be on here from time to time to glean some wisdom from the collective. If anyone is in the area I would love to connect. I'm about 1 hour from Deals Gap (aka Tail of the Dragon). If you're not familiar with it you can check it out HERE. I'm pretty sure they built this section of road with us in mind!

Welcome to the madness. I'm up in that general area several times per year. Here is a photo I took back in Jun 2019 on the Rattler... Reach out to anyone if you need help.. IMG_6125.jpg

Very familiar with the area. Ridden the Tail numerous time on the Harley. Moonshiner 28, the Cherohala Parkway, Devil's Triangle, and the Smokey Mountain loop. Our plans are to trailer the Roadster down there in June-ish and spend a week doing them all on 4 wheels rather than 2.

Good luck on the MK1. There are a bunch of people that know those older versions so you should be able to get some great advice and info.
