can any vendors setup a group buy for the E-STOPP parking brake?

I contacted E-STOPP and they don't do direct group buys, but said if one of their vendors offered one they may have a potential cost savings...
I'd like to not install my manual hand-brake (heresy?) if possible but also save a few bucks on the rather pricey E-STOPP setup too!

    MOD EDIT (see below):

    1. are any vendors selling this?
    2. if so, would you be interested in doing a group buy?

Toadster, you're stepping on some rules here, I'm sure unintentionally.

I'm posting this as a clarification of our rules, in case anyone is wondering: Group buys on this site are through vendors ONLY. The Kosher way to go about this is to find a vendor first, or post looking for a vendor who sells this product. Then contact the vendor to see if they want to do a group buy. If they are interested, THEN have them post (or you post with their permission) a thread looking for interested folks to join in a group buy.

EDIT: Rather than lose this thread Toadster, I'm editing your post so you can still continue your quest, but in the proper way.

Thanks David for the reminder, I figured this may be easier than reaching out to each vendor individually - you can remove if needed.

I really don't want to stop you from your research. Heck I might even get in on it! (My trans-top ebrake is no bueno)

    Thanks for understanding.

Sorry, I don't get it. You just asked about spending an extra $3000 for a Gen3 Aluminator, but you want a group buy to save $20 on electric brake? I really am confused about the thought process

Not to change the subject, but have you seen the Wilwood electronic parking brake? I haven’t researched it to see if it fits ours but it looks promising.

Build thread - Mk4, Coyote, IRS, Wilwood brakes, old-style soft top and accessories.

yes but at $1,100 it's 2x the price of the ESTOPP, sure there are no cables - but dang that's spendy for sitting still! I still shake my head thinking of a $500 parking brake!

Yeah, me too, especially considering that a couple of 20 dollar cables and the handle FFR sent you will do the job.

Totally agree, but mine will neither hold the car on a hill, nor release completely on the right side rear. Any suggestions?

well, I'm not wanting a visible parking brake handle, so it costs...

plus, if I can benefit anyone else wanting this setup - why not ask

Well then it’s your $500 decision... It’s kind of like when one of my wife’s clients was constantly griping about her husband; Nancy finally told her “Well, you picked him”

LOL at giving someone a hard time over an "unnecessary expense". Building one of these cars is one giant unnecessary expense.
